The Calcutta auction will take place on Saturday evening AFTER the conclusion of round 1, roughly 6–7 pm. If you played your way out of contention on Saturday for the two-day competition, the Calcutta is your chance to still win good money by playing well on Sunday, or purchasing a team you expect to play well on Sunday. The field will be divided into 4 flights (Championship, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd). Each flight has its own separate Calcutta payout pool — only the money bid on teams within a flight counts toward that flight's pool. Payouts will go to the owners of the top 3 teams in each flight. The Calcutta placement for each flight is based on SUNDAY SCORE ONLY.
Each flight has its own separate pool. 10% of each flight's total is donated to local schools. The remaining 90% is paid out to the top 3 teams in that flight:

We will host the Calcutta auction in the cart staging area where you can make a circle with your golf carts and still have access to the clubhouse for food and drinks.
All teams will be bid upon, with each team's bid contributing to that team's flight pool. All bidding will begin at $100 per Team. Any team not owned at the conclusion of the bidding will be put into a pool as a "field bet". The group of "field bet" teams will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, taking all field teams. The auctioneer will have discretion to determine the bidding increments, but in all cases the minimum bidding increment will be no less than $50. At the conclusion of the Calcutta, we will announce each flight's total and have the Calcutta payouts posted and listed at the golf course. We will pay the top 3 team owners in each flight.
If you DID NOT win your team, you are allowed to purchase up to 50% of your team from the owner. "Field bet" teams are NOT allowed to buy back 50% of their own team. If you are the owner of a team, you are responsible for paying the full amount prior to teeing off on Sunday. If your owned team places, we will pay the Owner of that team. The owner is then responsible for distributing funds to anyone who purchased a percentage of ownership.
All Calcutta payments MUST be made Saturday night. We will not be accepting payment on Sunday.

If you intend to buy back half of your Team, you must coordinate payment to the purchaser on your own accord, prior to that team heading out to the starting hole on Sunday. Payment will be accepted either by CASH or CARD, with CASH preferred, for your Calcutta teams. Calcutta bet sheets will also be printed for the auction on Saturday.
